Ukraine's President Zelensky has said that a substantial part of Russia's military is now involved in military operations.

 The regional governor in Luhansk has said that the Russian army has captured the city of Kremin. 

 Somewhere in Ukraine, rockets and artillery shells have fallen on these cities, with Ukrainian media reporting hundreds of miles of explosions and sirens of air strikes.

 Ukraine's army hopes to receive artillery, helicopters, drones, armored vehicles, weapons, ammunition from the US and NATO soon. 


 A senior US official has said that Russia's military is now focusing on a more limited area and has spent a significant amount of time building supplies. 


 The next stage of peace talks remains uncertain. 

 Ukraine's chief negotiator, Mykhailo Podolyak, has said it is becoming increasingly difficult to predict when talks may resume due to the continuing siege of Mariupol and the new offensive. 


 Russia has also seriously accused Ukraine of undermining talks with changing demands.

Russia is again launching attacks on Kyiv, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday after it destroyed an ammunition factory overnight around the town of Brevary in the Kyiv region.


 The new wave of attacks was a reminder of the danger still facing Kyiv, with Ukraine's parliament Lesia Vasileki tweeted on Saturday as the capital exploded for the second day in a row.

 A group of Ukrainian fighters hiding at the Joe Azovstal steel plant in Mariopol is asked by the Russian military to surrender to save their lives.

 Russia's military continues to intensify attacks against the port city in southeastern Ukraine, with Ukrainian President Zelensky describing the situation in Mariupol as "very inhumanely serious". 

 Nearly 10,000 civilians were trapped in Maria Paul and left with no way out, as talks between the two countries shut down a human or corridor on Sunday. 

 At least 202 children have been killed in Ukraine as a result of the Russian attack, according to preliminary data from the country's prosecutor general's tenure, and more than 361 have been injured, said the official, from the UN agency for children, UNICEF.
 It is estimated that about two-thirds of Ukraine's children have been displaced in the conflict. 




 On Easter Sunday, Pope Francis has called for an end to the war in Ukraine.

Kharkhiv's deputy governor has reported that the area around the InGyM will be Russia's next primary target and there will be heavy fighting. 

 Top British officials, including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, have been banned from entering Russia, Russia's foreign ministry has said in response to the British government's actions of hostile actions as well as sanctions against top Russian officials.

The Pentagon has confirmed Ukraine's claim that its missile fired from the coast damaged and destroyed the flagship of Russia's Black Sea Fleet. 

 The missile Cruiser Moskova was later sunk. The Russian military said the fire on the ship caused an explosion of ammunition and that the crew of about 500 sailors were evacuated safely.

 This is the second major lot to have sunk off the coast of Ukraine in recent weeks.



  The bodies of more than 900 civilians have been found in the vicinity of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, since the withdrawal of Russian forces. According to the regional police they have said that 95% of people have died from gunshot wounds, with the vast majority of victims being found in Bucha.
  It is the site of the most devastating scene ever witnessed by the public where several organizations are investigating war crimes charges. 


 Russia's defense ministry said it had shot down a military target off the coast of Kyiv and warned it would intensify its offensive on the capital in response to a Ukrainian attack on its bases. 


 Ukrainian officials say Russian troops have used a long-range bomber to attack Maria Paul for the first time since the offensive began on February 24.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian missile cruiser Moskva operating in the Black Sea has sunk. Russian officials said the board caught fire and the weapons exploded. The Ukrainian military has claimed that they attacked the ship.

 Russia has accused the Ukrainian military of attacking Russian residential buildings near the Ukrainian border. 


 A senior US official is likely to visit Ukraine soon to show solidarity with Ukraine, a possible visit following visits by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the presidents of Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Estonia, Ukraine . 

 Russian authorities continue to crack down on anti-war protesters, with arrests extended to vandalism and stealthy demonstrations.


Russia-Ukraine War: What happened today (April 13)

Russia continues to build up its forces for a possible offensive in eastern Ukraine. In which ground troops, artillery, system helicopters are present. The Pentagon says Russian forces are gathering in large quantities on the Russian side of the border. Where Moscow has recognized two declared separatist republics.

According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, more than 1,800 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since the start of Russia's invasion on February 24. 

 The United Nations Human Rights said it has documented approximately 2,500 civilians injured, although it adds that the actual figure for civilian casualties may be much higher.

  Ukraine's President Zelensky has warned that thousands of Russian troops are gathering and organizing for a new offensive in eastern Ukraine, an assessment dedicated by Western governments.  

A senior US defense official has said that the US has seen Russian command and control elements, support battalions, infantry and helicopters coming from across the Russian border into the Donbass region.  

Ukrainian officials say at least 12,000 civilians have been killed in the Kyiv area, recovery efforts are underway in suburban cities and towns outside the capital, bodies were found in basements and main halls, and bodies were also recovered from destroyed buildings and homes. 


 Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehmer met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the first face-to-face exchange between Putin and a Western leader after Russia invaded Ukraine, as a non-aligned European country. 

 Austria has traditionally played a unique role between NATO member states and Russia.  "While this is not a friendly visit, I have a very important message to Putin that this dangerous war must end," Nehmer said in a statement. 



 The World Bank has warned that Russia's war could shrink Ukraine's economy by 45 percent this year.  

Russia's Defense Ministry has accused the US of aiding Ukraine in what Russia said were fake corruption attempts against civilians, and placing the blame on the Russian military.



Russia-Ukraine War: What Happened Today (April 10)

  A new Russian general has been tapped to handle the faltering invasion of Ukraine. An American official has told that Alexander Dvornikov, 60, was in charge of the southern section of the first war. It comes as the country is expected to launch a new offensive in the east after Russia pulled forces out of the Kyiv region.
