1. USS Gerald R Ford Class (CVN-78)
The world's largest aircraft carrier is the USS Gerald R Ford Class (CVN-78) of America. It was commissioned in May 2017. Four aircraft carriers of this class are under construction.
Gerald R Ford, currently active in service, is 337 meters tall with a beam of 78 metres. The ships have a total load displacement of 100,000 tonnes, and its 78 m flight deck has an electromagnetic aircraft launch system and advanced arrester gear. USS Gerald R. Ford can carry over 75 aircraft and accommodate a total of 4,539 personnel. It is powered by two nuclear reactors and carries the RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile, Airframe Missile or RAMS and Phalanx Close-in Weapon System or CIWS.
2. Nimitz Class, USA
The US Navy's Ten Nimitz-class aircraft carrier is the second largest US aircraft carrier. It was manufactured in 1968 and was launched in 1972. It is 97,000 tonnes heavy, 332.8 m long, capable of carrying over 60 aircraft. It is powered by two nuclear reactors.
3. Queen Elizabeth Class, UK
It is the largest aircraft carrier of the United Kingdom Royal Navy, it is the third largest aircraft carrier in the world.
Among the Royal Navy's two Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers, HMS Queen Elizabeth was commissioned in December 2017, while HMS Prince of Wales was launched in December 2017 and commissioned in December 2019.
Both ships have a displacement of approximately 65,000 tonnes and a length of 280 metres. The ships can carry up to 40 rotary and fixed-wing aircraft. They can board 36 F-35Bs and four Merlin helicopters. Featuring the latest technology and automated systems, these ships require a crew of only 679 for a combat mission.
4. Liaoning, China
The ship was rebuilt and commissioned as planned in September 2012. It has over 58,000 tonnes. Can simultaneously carry 50 aircraft and helicopters.
5. Shandong, China
This is China's second aircraft carrier, Shandong, it was commissioned on 26 April 2017. It is China's first domestic manufacturer of aircraft carriers. Its length is 305 meters, with a total weight of 70,000 tons. Can carry 44 aircraft on its deck.

7. INS Vikrant, India
INS Vikrant is an indigenously built aircraft carrier built by India. It is manufactured by Cochin Shipyard Limited. Joined the Indian Navy in August 2022. It weighs 45,000 tonnes and is 262 meters long. It can carry a maximum of 40 aircraft on its duck. It is highly upgraded as compared to INS Vikramaditya. It has been technologically advanced.

Charles De Gaulle (France) was commissioned into the French Navy in 2001. He continues to serve as the Chief of the French Navy to this day. The aircraft carrier is France's first only nuclear powered carrier. The aircraft carrier has a length of 858 feet and a height of 218 feet. It is 42500 tonnes heavy, and has a crew capacity of 1,200.

INS Vikramaditya is the best aircraft carrier of India. It holds its position among the world's largest aircraft carrier warships.Previously served in the Soviet Navy and Russian Navy under Baku and Admiral Gorshkov respectively. India bought this warship in January 2004. With a displacement of 45,400t, INS Vikramaditya can carry a maximum of 36 aircraft, including 26 Mikoyan MiG-29K multi-role fighters and 10 Kamov Ka-31 AEW&C and Kamov Ka-28 ASW helicopters.
