 Till now India and Pakistan have fought four wars together.

Pakistan had launched Operation Grand Slam to capture Kashmir in 1965.


Did Pakistan run Operation Grand Slam to capture Kashmir on 1 September 1965.


Pakistan's then dictator and President General Ayub Khan had agreed to this operation.

But in India, in due course of time, took the right decision and thwarted the nefarious plot of Pakistan.


Pakistan Army had prepared a plan to capture the entire Kashmir under Operation Grand Slam.

Under this operation, the Pakistan Army wanted to attack Akhnoor Bridge .

This bridge was the lifeline of the Indian Army


The Pakistan Army had made a plan that they would enter Kashmir and provoke the people there against the Indian Army and bring them with them.

Pakistan felt that their efforts would pay off and the people of Jammu and Kashmir would declare war against India.

But the Pakistani was not going to succeed in it.


This operation started from September 1, but Pakistan had prepared it well in advance.

Pakistani Army soldiers were infiltrating the Indian border in separate pieces.


By the time India got information about the intrusion, Pakistani Army soldiers had already entered Kashmir.

An army of additional jawans in India started sending Jammu and Kashmir.

After getting information from the Indian Army, a front was opened against Pakistan.


India started a stinging attack on Pakistani military bases and destroyed the supply line of Pakistani Army soldiers.


On September 1, 1965, Pakistan started Operation Grand Slam at 5:00 am The attack during this was quite tremendous.


But the Indian jawans did not lose heart and kept fighting amid heavy fire.

India bravely responded to Pakistan's attack



India had come to know what is Pakistan's plan; On September 6, another front of the war was given a call in Punjab, fleeing Pakistan's dangerous plan in India.


Pakistan was afraid that the Indian Army would cross the border and penetrate much inside Pakistan.

India has not only got the nefarious intentions of Pakistan in the soil in Kashmir but also gave Pakistan a crushing defeat on every front.

India shattered Pakistan's Operation Grand Slam.


The then Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri taught Pakistan a lesson through Operation Grand Slam.

President General Ayub Khan's plan to capture Kashmir had failed.


Pakistani General Ayub Khan did not know about the strength of Indian Army and Indian Air Force.


India forced Pakistan to kneel again.
