Suicide bomber targets security patrol in Pakistan, six killed. ISKP claims responsibility for death of two Sikh businessmen in Pakistan's Peshawar.

Six were killed when a suicide bomber targeted a security patrol in Pakistan.

 In North Waziristan, a blazing explosion took place in a security vehicle, killing six people, while in another incident, gunmen shot dead two minority Sikh community members in Peshawar. 

 The Pakistani military said in a statement that three soldiers and three children were killed in northwestern Pakistan near the border with Afghanistan. 

 When a suicide bomber detonated an explosion near the vehicle of the security forces. 

 Pakistan said in a military statement that on Sunday, an attacker blew up an explosives-laden jacket near a vehicle on security patrol in a village near Mir Ali town in the tribal district of North Waziristan.

 Soon after the blast, two soldiers in the vehicle were killed, another was injured. 

Three children playing on the side of the road were also seriously injured. 

 All the injured were airlifted to hospital but none survived, the statement said. No one has claimed responsibility for this attack so far.

Also on Sunday, police officer Ejaz Khan has said that motorcycle-borne gunmen opened fire on two members of the minority Sikh community at a market in the Peshawar suburb of Sarband.

Among the victims, 38-year-old Ranjit Singh and 42-year-old Kanwaljit Singh, who ran their spices shop in Batta Tal market, were shot multiple times, the official said.

 The Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) has claimed responsibility for the deaths of two Sikh community businessmen in Peshawar, Pakistan.


In 2014, an army-run school in Peshawar was attacked by terrorists, after which the Pakistan Army launched a massive operation. 

 More than 150 people were killed in this terrorist attack, mostly school children.
