According to intelligence from Washington and Seoul, Pyongyang is preparing to conduct a nuclear test or a long-range ballistic missile test during a visit to the region by President Joe Biden this week.

 The United States believes that there is a real possibility that North Korea may conduct a nuclear test. 

 While Joe Biden is on a trip to Asia, this is his first visit since becoming president.

 a top official said on Wednesday. National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan said, "Our intelligence shows the real possibility of a nuclear capable missile test or a nuclear weapon test at the time of Joe Biden's visit.

" Joe Biden will travel on Thursday for a series of summits hosted by US allies South Korea and Japan.

 Jack Sullivan said North Korea may have violated UN sanctions by conducting a series of missile tests this year.

 And the US and South Korea are warning it could happen any day. 

 A visit to Seoul, followed by Tokyo, is being seen as proof that Washington is trying to cement its years-long distance in Asia. 

 Where rising Chinese commerce and military power are undermining decades of American dominance.


South Korea's parliament, Ha Tae Keung, said after being informed by the Seoul's spy agency that despite the Kovid-19, Pyongyang is preparing for a nuclear test which has been completed and it is only looking for the right time . 


Satellite imagery indicates North Korea is preparing to conduct its seventh nuclear test here.

In 1963, North Korea asked the Soviet Union for help to develop a nuclear weapon, but was refused.

 The Soviet Union agreed to help North Korea develop a peaceful nuclear energy program, including the training of nuclear scientists.

North Korea conducted the first nuclear weapon test on 9 October 2006. 

 And North Korea did the last nuclear weapon test on 3 September 2017.


 The IRT-2000 bridge type research reactor was supplied by the Soviet Union to the Yongbyon Atomic Scientific Research Center in 1963, and began operation in 1965.  


 After the research reactor was upgraded, the fuel now used is IRT-2M type assembly with 36% and 80% high enrichment uranium. 


 North Korea can obtain all the uranium needed for nuclear weapons from its existing Pyongsan mill. 


 The tailings piles up that satellite imagery suggests the country could produce far more nuclear fuel.
