Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been shot, suspect man has been taken into custody. 

Former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe has been shot, with initial reports saying he may be injured, with an NHK reporter at the scene saying it looked like a gunshot wound. And Shinzo Abe is seen bleeding.

 The biggest news is just coming, local reports say gunshots were heard at the time, and a male suspect has been taken into custody. 

 Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was taken to hospital after collapsing while delivering a speech in the western Japanese city of Nara.

 NHK said gunshots were heard at the time and a suspect man was taken into custody on the spot. 

 An NHK reporter present at the scene said that during Shinzo Abe's speech, he heard two consecutive explosions.
