Former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe has been shot, with initial reports saying he may be injured, with an NHK reporter at the scene saying it looked like a gunshot wound. And Shinzo Abe is seen bleeding.

 The biggest news is just coming, local reports say gunshots were heard at the time, and a male suspect has been taken into custody. 

 Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was taken to hospital after collapsing while delivering a speech in the western Japanese city of Nara.

 NHK said gunshots were heard at the time and a suspect man was taken into custody on the spot.
