The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Thursday arrested two operatives of the Dawood Ibrahim gang on charges of funding terrorist activities in separate actions. The NIA arrested Dawood Ibrahim gang member Salim Qureshi alias Salim Fruit on Thursday. He was a close associate of fugitive gangster Chhota Shakeel. The agency claimed that Qureshi collected funds from foreign countries to further D Company's terror activities and transferred it to D Company. On the other hand, ATS officer said on Thursday that Parvez Zubair Vaid Memon (47) was arrested from his house in Versova. The official said that Parvez was involved in anti-national activities along with Anees. On Tuesday, an FIR was registered against Anees and his associates under several sections in the matter of funding and supporting organizations working against India.
Tarn Taran youth had hidden RDX in Haryana, recovered
Shahabad-Kurukshetra. Ambala STF on Thursday exposed the conspiracy to blast before August 15. STF has recovered one kg 300 grams of RDX from the fields near Mirchi Hotel on Shahabad Ambala GT Road. This RDX was recovered on the behest of a youth from Punjab. On knowing this, senior police officers also reached Shahabad. Till late night, the police was engaged in closed room action. It is being told that on the basis of intelligence inputs, STF had caught a youth named Shamsher Singh from Tarn Taran in Punjab. He came to know that RDX is hidden in the fields near Hotel Mirchi. On the behest of the youth, the IED RDX kept hidden under the tree was recovered.
Haryana STF will search Shamsher's mobile
The handler sitting abroad got this work done by Shamsher through mobile. Police investigation revealed that money and drugs were offered to Shamsher for this work. Shamsher's role was over after placing explosives here. Who got the call from his mobile and to whom did he send the location and the photo of the bomb being kept, for this, forensic examination of his mobile is being done. The police is also conducting a forensic examination of the bomb to see how powerful it was.
Shamsher's record sought from Punjab Police Haryana Police has started searching the records of Shamsher Singh, who was involved in the terrorist group arrested in this case. For this information is being collected by contacting Punjab Police. Details about his old criminal record, registered case are being collected. The Punjab Police is also trying to investigate the details of Shamsher at its level. The Punjab Police suspects that they carried the bomb which came in Punjab through a drone to Haryana. Shamsher runs a shop in Punjab.
