India, Egypt to focus on defence coproduction, maintenance of equipment

The Defense Minister of India, Shri Rajnath Singh is on a visit to Egypt.


 He met with the President of Egypt, Abdel Al sisi fatah, in Cairo. 

 To further strengthen the friendship between India and Egypt, there has been discussion on agreeing to conduct joint training and maintenance of defense equipment to further develop military cooperation. 


 Both the countries have agreed on these issues. This will further enhance the friendship between the two countries. 


 The Indian Defense Ministry has stated that they need co-production and specific proposals in this regard were discussed and agreed upon. 


 Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is on a two-day visit to Egypt. 


 Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will further strengthen mutual cooperation between the two countries. 


Emphasis will be laid on furthering the mutual trust and trust between India and Egypt. Apart from this, India and Egypt have also talked about fighting the fight against terrorism. 


 Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has said that India and Egypt will exchange experts and best practices to fight the fight against terrorism.


 India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has also visited the Air Force Museum in Kairo.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that Egypt is India's most partner country among African countries and bilateral trade between the two countries has seen a significant increase. 



 Egypt has shown interest in entering into military agreements with India. Egypt has shown interest on the lightest combat aircraft LCA to meet its fighter aircraft requirements.
